Hello everyone!! It’s good to be back. I’ve really been trying to get this latest strip done for about a week now. It’s still a balancing act of time and the ability to focus within the free moments that I do have these days. I really feel like the process is becoming more ironclad and I look forward to the day when we can resume regular, weekly updates.

I hope you’ll check back soon for our next installment and we both hope that there is sufficient advancement of the story to keep you interested. I know there still isn’t much you guys can latch onto, but please believe me when I tell you that everything that happens in the strip has a purpose. Everything!

So here’s the latest strip. My sincerest apologies to anyone following at the moment as well as to I.C. for putting up with the tedious delays of my capricious art forays. I know we’re not getting things out as quickly as we had hoped and to be even more abusive I am moving us to a sporadic update schedule for the time being. Between the numerous home improvement projects, work and just having enough free time to decompress from it all, I feel it is best, for now, to just try and take the pressure off of having a weekly deadline.

I want to express that this will only be temporary, and I assure you that I am getting better and feeling more confident with the process. I think when we finally resume a regular updating schedule, we will all be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Slightly late as I had one of my famous migraines last evening. It is however done and I think we’re both proud of it in a way we haven’t been for quite a while. I hope that the difference in the new tablet is readily obvious to those who have followed since the beginning. We sure as hell can tell the difference!!

Here is the comic. I am very proud of aspects of this one! I think we are both quite chuffed at how the strip has evolved, even if we’re not chomping at the bit a little to have it reach a level quite a bit more refined.

Wonderful computer woes have caused this untimely delay! I am hating being a Windoze user more and more daily. Hopefully there will be a switch of some sort or other soon.
In other news Lora and I bought a house in Salem so on that front as well there has been much frantic diligence and celebration!!

HAPPY Pi DAY!!!

I tried a few new things with this strip as I am getting more comfortable with the digital stylus. My natural inclination is to make very heavy, organic lines, but I am trying to move towards a streamlined, minimal line and let the colors add dimension rather than heavily shaded lines. To this end I used a much thinner brush on these images. Also I have decided to use custom, hand drawn balloons in favor of the template that I had been using. I hope it will impart a warmer, handmade feeling to the strip as it evolves.
